FAQ
What people ask before starting.
Do I need to install anything on my server?
For basic administration, chat and event logging, no — the panel connects to your server over WebRCON. For the live map, physical RAM reading and mute, copy our free Rust plugin into your Oxide folder; the panel hands you a ready-made install package.
Does recording stop when I turn my computer off?
No. Our cloud service opens the connection to your server and keeps it open; chat, console and player data keep being recorded whether or not your browser and desktop app are closed.
Is my RCON password safe?
The password is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, is never shown again anywhere in the panel and is never returned in API responses. We also verify at registration that the server address resolves to a public IP.
I have several servers — can they all live in one account?
Yes. On Business you manage up to five servers from one account and switch between them from the server picker at the top of the panel. Each server's data is kept separate.
Is the Windows app billed separately?
No. The web panel and the Windows app are part of the same subscription; you sign in to both with the same account.
What happens to my records if I cancel?
When the subscription ends no new data is collected and your records are kept for 30 more days, so renewing picks up where you left off. After that they are deleted.
